• Recently the Ministry of Culture has launched a scheme for financial assistance for the development of Buddhist/Tibetan culture and arts under the “Kala Sanskriti Vikas Yojana (KSVY)”.
• Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to voluntary Buddhist and Tibetan organizations including monasteries engaged in the promotion and development of Buddhist/Tibetan culture and tradition located in any part of the country. The amount of funding for an organization is Rs 30 lakh per annum.

• Ministry implements several schemes under KSVY, where grants are sanctioned/approved for organizing programmes/activities.

• Financial assistance scheme for creation of cultural infrastructure.
• Scheme for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage, which aims to promote 13 intangible cultural heritage of India recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
