Subhas Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Award

 

  • Vinod Sharma, vice-chairman of Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management (GIDM) and Sikkim State Disaster Management Authority, has been selected for the Subhas Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar for the year 2022 for outstanding work in disaster management.
  • GIDM has been selected in Institutional category, while Vinod Sharma has been nominated in Individual category.
  • The Central Government has instituted the Subhas Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar, an annual award to recognize and honor the invaluable contribution and selfless service rendered by individuals and organizations in India in the field of disaster management.
  • This year nominations were invited for the award from 1st July, 2021 and 243 valid nominations were received from institutions and individuals.
  • This award is announced every year on 23 January on the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
  • In this, a cash prize and certificate of Rs 51 lakh is given to the awarding institution and Rs 5 lakh and certificate is given to the awardee.
