- Recently the fifth edition of Women Transforming India Awards (WTI) was organized by the Women Entrepreneurship Forum (WEP) of NITI Aayog.
- 75 women were honored by the WTI Awards 2021 to celebrate the contribution of women in ‘Sashakt Aur Samarth Bharat’.
- An anthem titled ‘Nari Shakti’ written, composed and sung by Kailash Kher was presented at the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) event.

- WTI Awards which is an annual initiative of NITI Aayog were presented to women leaders of India who bring significant change through their commendable efforts.

Women Entrepreneurship Forum (WEP) : The Hindu Analysis
- WEP is an initiative of NITI Aayog to promote and support aspiring and established women entrepreneurs in India, which helps them from inception to expansion of their enterprise.
- The idea of this platform was first proposed by NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, who organized WEP at the conclusion of the 8th Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in the year 2017 to help and solve the information asymmetry in the ecosystem.
- The objective of this platform is to catalyze the entrepreneurial ecosystem for women and bridge the information asymmetry so as to create a vibrant ecosystem for women-led enterprises.
- The platform works to strengthen industry ties and raise awareness of women entrepreneurs about existing programs and services.
- More than 900 women entrepreneurs have benefited through 77 programs organized on this platform.
